We will run 20 to 30 km daily in the rough magnificent Icelandic nature surrounded by lava fields, volcanos, glaciers, mountains, and geothermal areas.

Day 1 – Gateway to Hell
: Pick up at lodgings early in the morning. We head to the moonlike landscape in the near the great volcano Mt. Hekla, known in the Middle Ages as the gateway to Hell! A spectacular run in volcano ash and lava fields where fresh water in between manages to nourish the desert and help green soft moss and tiny little flowers to grow.
We run and run in the wilderness, over colourful geo-thermal mountains and obsidian lava fields of Fjallabak area– behind the mountains. Here nobody lives unless you count ghosts, trolls and maybe an outlaw or two. We run fast so the stiff trolls won’t catch us. We run approximately 30 km with 600 meters elevation, this is what the outlaws did in early ages, and we can do it to! A night in a cosy hut.

Day 2. –  Lakes, Lava and mountain bath in Landmannalaugar
: We run along lakes and lava fields, colourful explosion-craters all the way to the old shepherd’s oasis in the highland Landmannalaugar. And we soak in the nice warm stream to rest our muscles – or take a shower before we drive tired but inspired we back to civilization.
